5L2F Church Food Drive Challenge

5 Loaves 2 Fish band people together to serve our communities and provide people with what they need. The 5L2F Food Drive is a competitive initiative to band local churches together in well spirited Christian competition in serving our community through food and money donations for families who are struggling. The food and money donations will be given to Gleaners Food Bank and will help feed hungry families in Livingston County.

The challenge isn’t to provide the most money or food, it’s to motivate your church body and encourage your members to get involved in serving the community. We’ve decided we can incorporate a fun and competitive challenge in doing so. The church who has the highest meals vs. summer church attendance will be hailed as the 2018 5L2F Food Drive Champion. Being the champ means some pretty epic social media kudos, a plaque to display, and a spot on the 5L2F Food Drive Champion’s Cup which will include the winning church’s name and food drive stats.

There aren’t too any rules, the gloves are off. We encourage churches to get creative in motivating their church body to participate in this challenge. The food drive wraps up on August 4th, at the Feeding America Softball Tournament (FAST). Donations from the food drive will be combined with the money donated through FAST.

$1.00 = 3 meals*

  • Food and money donations should be delivered to the 5L2F tent at the Feeding America Softball Tournament (FAST) on August 4th, 2018, between the hours of 9am and 5pm.**
  • Money donations can also be given anytime before August 4th at: give.5L2Fdrives.com
  • Participating churches must declare their average church attendance before July 28th. If your church is interested in participating or you would like more information, email us at hello@5L2Fdrives.com or contact us through our website contact form.
*$1.00 = at least 3 meals, in some scenarios Gleaners may be matched increasing the value of monetary donations. At the time of this food drive Gleaners Food Bank is not being matched, so $1.00 will equal 3 meals for the purposes of the challenge.
**Food and money donations may be turned in directly to Gleaners Food Bank before August 4th. For the donations to count towards the totals of the Food Drive challenge you must receive a donation ticket from Gleaners and email a copy to 5L2F before August 4th.
